Undergraduate teaching
The teaching year is divided into two equal semesters, which run across the three-term residential year. Modules are examined at the end of each semester (February and June), except for the final year extended project. The approved modules for the degree are a mixture of required and elective modules. Students attend practical classes and get hands-on experience in designing and running experiments throughout the degree. The British Psychological Society (BPS) approves the BSc single honours degrees in psychology at the University of Manchester. This professional body is incorporated by Royal Charter.
