Role

Part time role in University as Senior Clinical Teaching Fellow with specific input to course units including Developmental language Disorders, working in Educational settings, Professional and Clinical Studies. Staff link for student peer mentoring programme, supporting students within role as Academic advisor.

NHS work in North Lancashire PCT as Specialist Paediatric SLT working with pupils with SEN in Mainstream schools.

Work in Independent sector providing training and support for children with Down Syndrome and consultative role in Childrens Centres.

Biography

Qualified in 1991 from Manchester Metropolian University and have worked within the NHS in the north-west since then. Extensive experience in Mainstream and Special schools with specific interests in learning disability and autism.

Worked within HEIs since 04, working at University of Manchester since 06.

Independent work including training, consultation and therapy input to Mainstream schools, Childrens centres, Down Syndrome Association.
