Randomisation

All children recruited to the study are allocated randomly to either a control or an intervention group.
 

Control group children

• Continue to receive services from their local SLTs
• Receive assessment reports at 3 points in their participation
• Receive a suggested intervention plan at the end of their participation

Intervention group children

• Receive up to twenty one hour sessions of intervention in school
• Receive interim and final reports from the research team
• Receive assessment reports at 3 points in their participation

To date, 57 children have received intervention from the research teams in Edinburgh and Manchester
