Six Masters-level modules that form part of the current 'MSc in Audiology' programme are now available as individual Continuing Professional Development (CPD) modules.
Auditory Assessment and Management, Vestibular Assessment and Management and Paediatric Audiology have been accredited by the British Academy of Audiology (BAA) as pre-requisites for enrolment on different clinical competence modules that form part of BAA Higher Training Scheme .
The modules are ideally suited for registered audiologists, hearing therapists and others wishing to further their knowledge in Audiology. They will be particularly beneficial for those who may have trained through alternative training routes such as BAAT who wish to advance their knowledge and skills, and gain entry into clinical modules within the BAA Higher Training Scheme.
As lectures are campus based, they are ideally suited to those in the Northwest. However, applications from individuals outside the Northwest will be considered.
As each module forms part of the MSc in Audiology programme, students will study and attend lectures with students enrolled on this programme. Each module involves 3 hours of face-to-face teaching per week on campus, for the duration of 12 weeks. The modules carry 15 credits at Masters level. On successful completion of each module, students will be awarded a CPD certificate. Modules include:
- Auditory Assessment and Management
- Vestibular Assessment and Management
- Auditory Science
- Paediatric Audiology
