Degree awarded: Masters level modules

Duration: PT; 3 hrs/wk for 12 wks (Sep-Jan, Feb-Jun)

Entry requirements:

  • A good honours degree or an approved and relevant postgraduate qualification (minimum PgDip or equivalent - 120 credits at Masters level)
  • Written support from current employer permitting time to attend lectures and complete all learning and assessment activities
  • Applications are welcome from candidates with evidence of previous advanced study, research or professional experience (which the University accepts as qualifying the candidate for entry) and a recognised health/education/social care related professional qualification and/or employment in healthcare or education services. Individuals applying via this route will also be required, upon application, to submit a short 500-word essay demonstrating their academic writing ability and critical thinking skills

Course fees: For entry in the academic year beginning September 2013, the tuition fees are as follows:

  • Modular (part-time)
    UK/EU students (per annum): SLA funded, please see below; £970 per unit for self funded applicants.
  • Modular (part-time)
    UK/EU students (per annum): SLA funded, please see below; £970 per unit for self funded applicants.

Full funding for individual modules is available through the NHS Northwest CPD Service Level Agreement (SLA) for staff working in the NHS in the Northwest.

Self-funding candidates may also apply.
