Personal Communication Passports

This term was developed by Sally Millar in the Communication Aids for Language and Learning (CALL) Centre, Edinburgh. Passports are a practical way of supporting children and adults who cannot easily speak for themselves, and of representing their views. They draw together background information about the passport user and enable others to see them positively as an individual and to communicate with them effectively. Speech and Language Therapy students are involved in making Personal Passports for Adults with learning difficulties and a short film is under development.
