Outreach Group: schools and community
Outreach Group
The School of Psychological Sciences (SPS) Outreach Group was set up in April 2006 and comprises members of staff across all areas of the School. The Group's aim is to link psychological sciences to the wider world. This can encompass anything from talking to the media to running events for the public in shopping centres.
What we do
- Widening participation
We aim to encourage under-represented groups to consider university education.
- Public engagement
We aim to generate interest in psychology, speech and language therapy, audiology and clinical psychology. To find out more about what researchers in psychology get up to, play our online game: What do psychological scientists do?
- Community involvement
We work collaboratively with the community and ask for their input into our work.
