Positive outcomes for deaf children and their families research project
November 2005The Big Lottery Fund have awarded £500,000 to The University of Manchester, University College London, Deafness Research UK and the National Deaf Children’s Society to investigate and understand the detailed relationships between service interventions after early identification of a hearing loss by the Newborn Hearing Screening Programme and outcomes for the child and for the family.
The project started on September 1 2005 and is a three-year project led by Professor John Bamford.
