Brainbox Challenge!

Brainbox Challenge is a new BBC 2 game show with input from academics in the School of Psychological Sciences. The show, hosted by Clive Anderson is currently on air weeknights at 6.30pm. The quiz steers away from a more typical general knowledge format and instead challenges contestants on a range of cognitive skills, such as numeracy, memory, language and visuo-spatial attention.

Dr Donna Lloyd and Dr Ellen Poliakoff, lecturers in the Division of Psychology, assisted in the development of the games and advised the BBC about the cognitive processes underlying each game. They have also contributed to an interactive version of the show, where you can play the games online, available at the BBC website:
