New sound-proof research booth

February 2007

The Audiology and Deafness Group has recently acquired a new research laboratory, equipped with a large sound-treated booth suitable for a large variety of research projects. Projects planned include the assessment of auditory brain responses in children who have a hearing loss, and studies relating the characteristics of hearing with a cochlear implant to the way the auditory nerves respond to electrical sounds received via the implant.

For information about using the booth please contact Professor Colette McKay on colette.mckay@manchester.ac.uk.
