Our teaching and research facilities are based in the Coupland I building, Zochonis building and the Ellen Wilkinson building. All are a short distance apart.

Coupland I Building

The Coupland I Building houses research groups and School Administration for the School of Psychological Sciences.

Access possibilities

Entrances: main entrance on Coupland Street

  • Disabled access: A ramp for wheelchair access is provided to a door on Coupland Street.

Opening hours

  • During working hours (Mon-Fri, 8.30am to 5.30pm): the main reception is open to the public.
  • Outside working hours: the main entrance is accessible to authorised staff and students by swipe card. Staff (including those already in the building) are required to sign the book at Reception if they plan to work in the building after 5pm.

Ellen Wilkinson Building

The Ellen Wilkinson Building houses research groups from the School of Psychological Sciences and the MRC newborn hearing screening programme.

  • Outside working hoursthe rear entrance opposite the Northern Examination and Assessment Boards (NEAB) is accessible to authorised staff and students by swipe card. Zochonis Building

The Zochonis Building houses a number of research groups from the School of Psychological Sciences and is the home of the Neuroscience Institute.
